Our Food and Agriculture program strives to support a nutritious, sustainable, accessible, and safe food supply. We seek innovative solutions that vitalize agricultural systems and empower vibrant grower communities—large and small, rural and urban.
We build and support partnerships and initiatives that cultivate knowledgeable, healthy consumers and bolster robust, transparent production systems. We connect food experts and practitioners across sectors and parts of the supply chain to develop bold visions for the future, more effectively implement legislation and regulation, and shape and test innovative programs. We develop data-driven tools that promote more sustainable practices and help make safe, nutritious, sustainable food accessible in all communities.
Through our collaborative processes, substantive knowledge, and extensive networks, we have helped form coalitions for investment in critical research; established information-exchange and solution-generating platforms for policy development and implementation; fostered alliances to improve food safety and nutrition; and worked with stakeholders in contributing to more collaborative, creative, and sustainable policy and practice.
We work with groups at all levels, from small farms or shareholders to national agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and multinational corporations. We target specific issues but with a holistic approach, recognizing that the modern food supply chain is global, complex, and interdependent.
