Globalization, advances in science, changing consumer demands, and technological evolution are revolutionizing the way food is produced, marketed, and consumed. In this environment, leading companies all along the agriculture and food supply chain seek to better understand emerging trends, from the impacts of climate change to advances in breeding technologies to consumer interests in where, how, and by whom their food is produced. To explore these trends and their implications for business, governance, and society, RESOLVE and Corteva Agriscience, the agricultural division of DowDuPont, have partnered to create the Insight Series—an innovative model for global stakeholder engagement on how to effectively and responsibly produce the world’s food.
The Insight Series puts Corteva Agriscience leadership in intensive conversation with diverse experts, including business leaders, scientists, policy makers, consumers, environmental advocates, and specialists in economic development and other areas. Since 2015, five Insight Series sessions have explored topics such as synthetic biology, gene editing, digital technologies, and sustainable crop protection. The Insight Series is grounded in authentic engagement, expansive thinking, and the belief that there is value in understanding alternative points of view. These sessions dive deep into participants’ hopes and concerns and explore potential pathways toward a shared vision of the future. The Insight Series opens new relationships and communication channels to elevate dialogue around how food can and should be produced.
