RESOLVE works with engineers from Intel Corporation to develop TrailGuard AI, an anti-poaching camera trap system. TrailGuard AI cameras use Intel-powered artificial intelligence (AI) technology to detect poachers entering wildlife reserves and alert park rangers in near real-time so poachers can be stopped before killing endangered animals. Intel engineers worked closely with RESOLVE to build, test, and optimize this anti-poaching solution that builds on prototypes created by RESOLVE and supported by Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and National Geographic Society. RESOLVE houses and manages the Public Health Leadership Forum. We engage public health leaders and practitioners to identify the most pressing issues for the Forum to address, often working with leaders from other sectors. The Forum gives public health thought leaders a “safe” space to deliberate and address challenging issues. The Forum has engaged dozens of leading public health organizations, including state and local department leads, the Centers for Disease Control, American Public Health Association, Trust for America’s Health, George Washington University, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, and the National Association of County and City Health Officials, as well as representatives from philanthropic organizations. RESOLVE facilitates the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC), an ongoing collaborative forum tasked with developing recommendations to federal agencies on management actions and policies for the Missouri River. RESOLVE works with the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to foster dialogue and achieve consensus among MRRIC’s diverse membership, which includes as many as 13 additional federal agencies, 8 states, 29 American Indian Tribes, and 29 stakeholders representing 16 different issue areas. RESOLVE is the secretariat for the Public-Private Alliance for Responsible Minerals Trade (PPA), a multi-sector initiative to support supply chain solutions to conflict minerals challenges in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Great Lakes Region of Central Africa. The PPA helps government, companies, and civil society to harmonize technical and financial resources and coordinate with governments, supply chain actors, and other stakeholders in order to bolster promising initiatives. PPA participants include Signet Jewelers, Google, Microsoft Corporation, Apple, Global Witness, Enough Project, U.S. Department of State, and many others.
