TrailGuard has come a long way. What began as a promising prototype under RESOLVE’s Conservation Solutions program has grown into a proven tool in the field: smarter, more reliable, and increasingly impactful. From the start, our goal was to help conservationists stay one step ahead by detecting threats early, reducing response time, and empowering those on the frontlines with better tools to protect endangered wildlife and vulnerable communities.
Today, TrailGuard has its own home. We’re proud to share that Nightjar, the social benefit enterprise spun out from RESOLVE, has officially launched its new website and brand at www.nightjar.tech. Nightjar exists to design and build rugged, effective AI-powered technology for conservation and security. TrailGuard is its first product, refined through years of field testing in places like India, Guinea, and Indonesia.
With TrailGuard, it's now possible to deploy AI-enabled monitoring systems in some of the most remote and challenging habitats on Earth. The system distinguishes wildlife, people, and vehicles and sends real-time alerts to help prevent poaching, reduce conflict, and protect biodiversity. It's already helping rangers and researchers monitor endangered species and act faster when it matters most.
